Description du problème :
- Impossibilité de lancer une machine virtuelle.
- Apparition d'une fenêtre intitulée "VirtualBox - Error in supR3HardNtChildWaitFor" avec le message d'erreur : "Timed out after 60001 ms waiting for child request #1 (CloseEvents). (rc=258)".
"The virtual machine 'XXX' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'C:\xxx\...\VBoxStartup.log.
Code d'erreur : E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Composant : MachineWrap
Interface : IMachine {f30138d4-e5ea-4b3a-8858-a059de4c93fd}"
- Signalé sur le forum officiel, le 17/11/2014 et le 27/11/2014.
Trois solutions possibles :
Commentaires
Hi Everyone,
Setting:
i was using Vbox v4.3.26 and it's matching extension pack from a W7 64bits machine.
Typically the VMs i used are Linux based (Mint/Ubuntu/Centos...) and in the past month or so, out of nothing i start getting the error described above.
Issue details:
The errors pop ups appearing, the VM would start nevertheless but aknowledging one of the pop up boxes would close/crash/terminate the VM window.
Fix attempt #1: FAILED
I updated Vbox to the latest version and the extension pack and same issue.
Fix attempt #2: SUCCESS
The culprit is AVIRA Antivirus and i was pointing fingers to a possible windows update....
We're so used to Microsoft F'ing up, anyways i uninstalled Avira as well as the registry keys.
It sorted the issue.
Spread the word!
Note:
Lefty06Avira website provides a registry key cleaner in the form of an exe.
Hello Lefty06,
In my case, I had Bullguard messing up with Virtualbox. Fortunately, I only had to disable one feature of the program before attempting to run a Vbox machine. You can read on Oracle forum that the problem also affects other products such as Symantec Endpoint.
If you want to keep Avira, you can try older version of Virtualbox (i.e., 4.2.24).
